Pressure Washing
For hard outdoor surfaces that a hose and a brush stopped fixing.
What it is
Pressure washing lifts ground-in dirt, algae and staining from hard exterior surfaces. The pressure and technique have to match the surface: concrete takes far more than siding, render or older brickwork, and too much pressure does damage that cannot be undone.
What is usually included
Scope is agreed between you and the cleaner, so treat this as the shape of the job rather than a contract. Anything you need that is not here belongs in your request notes.
- Washing of hard exterior surfaces
- Driveways and parking areas
- Walkways, steps and paths
- Patios and paved outdoor areas
- Suitable exterior walls and surfaces
- Extra attention to heavily used and stained areas
- Pressure and technique matched to the surface
- Clearing loosened dirt from the area afterwards
When people ask for it
- A driveway that has gone dark or green
- Paths and steps that get slippery in wet weather
- Patios before the outdoor season
- General exterior tidy-up of a property
What happens after you send the request
You describe the job
Your ZIP code, the property details, the day you want and anything specific. It takes a couple of minutes and costs nothing.
It reaches cleaners near you
Only professionals whose service area covers your ZIP, who offer this type of cleaning, and whose ID has been approved by our team.
One of them replies
The first available cleaner takes the request and a conversation opens, where you can ask about scope, timing and price.
You accept or decline
Look at their profile and rating, then decide. If you decline, the request goes back out to another cleaner automatically.
You pay the cleaner directly
Requesting costs you nothing. The price is what you and the cleaner agree, and it is paid to them, not to Verliks.
Worth having ready
Name the surfaces and rough square footage, and say whether there is an outdoor tap and power point available. Flag anything delicate nearby β planting beds, painted surfaces, older mortar, exterior lighting β and any oil stains, which behave differently from ordinary dirt.
Questions about pressure washing
Can any surface be pressure washed?
No. Soft or aged surfaces, some sidings, older mortar and certain painted finishes can be damaged by high pressure, and a lower-pressure method is used instead. Describe the surface in your request rather than assuming.
Will oil stains come out?
Sometimes they lighten rather than disappear, especially if they have been sitting for a long time. Say the stains are there up front so nobody is working from a different expectation than you are.
How much does this cost?
There is no fixed price. It depends on the property, its condition, the scope, your location and the professional. The cleaner who takes your request discusses it with you in the conversation, before anything is booked.
Can I ask for a specific cleaner?
Yes. You can send a request straight to a professional whose profile you have seen, and it goes to them rather than into the general matching. If they are not available, the request falls back to cleaners near you.
Does every cleaner offer this service?
No. Each professional lists the types of cleaning they take on, and requests are only matched to cleaners who offer this one and who cover your area.
Can I add extra work to the request?
Describe it in the notes when you send the request. The cleaner confirms in the conversation what they include and whether the extra work is something they can do.
